Make the answer explicit.
• A more competent chef has informed me that
• 1. The pan is defective.
• 2. It has a lifetime warranty.
• 3. I can tell the manufacturer about it and get a replacement.
• 4. He has done this himself.
• I think the pan was 8-10 years old.
• A more competent chef has informed me that it's definitely the coating.[^1] Furthermore…
• 1. The pan is defective.
• 1. It has a lifetime warranty.
• 1. I can tell the manufacturer about the problem and get a replacement, assuming
• - I only used plastic utensils on the pan.
• - I did not wash it in the dishwasher.
• 1. He has done this himself.
• [^1]: Which may be a carcinogen, so _don't use it._
